Loughborough Model Flying Club
Welcome to the Loughborough Model Flying Club.
The Club has existed in various forms and flown model aircraft from the present general location since the late 1940’s. It became Loughborough Model Flying Club in March 1980 and is the only club of its type in the Borough of Charnwood. We are affiliated to the British Model Flying Association.
We are a friendly and approachable group of model fliers, with a number of experienced members, willing to assist others in the pursuit of the sport. We are predominately a fixed wing and helicopter club, using electric and IC power. Gas turbines are excluded.
Membership is available to anyone - there isn’t any age or physical limitation to becoming a member. However there is a maximum membership of 100. The Sport of model aircraft building and flying is non-seasonal, unlike some other sports, so you can maximise the return on your investment by participating throughout the whole year. The LMFC membership fee covers one year running from the beginning of January to the end of December.
